Care Group Operational Service Manager (Care Group 6)
York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting new strategy and has just undertaken an extensive operational review to align our management structures to achieve our ambitious aims. The review has resulted in the creation of six Care Groups and this post is in Care Group 6; covering Rheumatology and Diabetes/Endocrinology. The candidate will be expected to work cross site, however the base can either be York or Scarborough (To be discussed at interview)
The role is an exciting and challenging one where you will be responsible for the daily operational management of our services, working as part of the Care Group Management team with senior clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals and other managerial colleagues to ensure that the services we deliver are safe, and of high quality. In addition, you will ensure mandatory performance standards are being met while taking into account patient needs and views.
You will be responsible for the line management of the administration and clerical functions within the Care Group and you will support the implementation of service redesign, leading on the transformation of some elements of the service.
We are looking for individuals who live and share our Trust values, who are resilient, able to build effective working relationships and have the ability to lead change and deliver services. You should have a degree level qualification or equivalent experience, and previous experience of management in the NHS.
