A unique opportunity exists for Registered Nurses to work within the Mental Health and Addiction Service being responsible for providing and coordinating consumer-focussed, evidence based nursing care within a dynamic health environment.
You will be a valued and integral member of the interdisciplinary team, which includes peer support workers, delivering high quality nursing care to consumers, their families and carers of the Mental Health & Addiction Service (MHAS), within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). The RN role is based upon the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's (NMBA) requirements for registration as a nurse.

Key Responsibilities include:
Ensure there are collaborative practices inclusive of consumers and their families and carers. Provide a high level of knowledge, skill and clinical competence in the assessment and delivery of contemporary health care to consumers presenting with complex mental and physical health care needs. Work within your Scope of Practice to implement principles of recovery orientated practice in a least restrictive environment.
Assist and support the Clinical Nurse in maintaining a learning environment and positive work culture by role modelling the appropriate behaviours expected to meet optimum standards of care.
Salary rates: $47.85 - $56.25 p.h. (Nurse Grade 5) (several casual positions) Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
