Remuneration value up to $387,270 p.a. comprising salary between $179,703 p.a. - $214,897 p.a. (L18 - L25), or remuneration value up to $326,890 p.a. comprising salary between $155,589 p.a. - $179,703 p.a. (L13-L18), or remuneration value up to $284,046 p.a. comprising salary between $155,589 p.a. - $160,449 p.a. (L13-L14), employer superannuation contribution (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover, plus overtime and on-call allowances. Mandatory qualifications/Professional registration/other requirements

  • Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
  • Candidates must provide certified copies of requested proof of identify documents for the purposes of general criminal history and national police certificate checks.
  • Demonstration of or working toward acquisition of medical skills commensurate with requirements of rural practice.  (FRACGP, FACRRM, FARGP or equivalent).
  • Certification of at least one (secondary) advanced rural skill is highly desirable.
  • Certifiable skills and competencies determine the credentialed scope of clinical practice you will be granted and subsequently, the position title and salary status to which you will be entitled as outlined in the Annexure – Additional Information.
  • Hepatitis B Vaccination: Health Care Workers in Queensland Health whose occupation poses a potential risk of exposure to blood or body fluids must be immunised against Hepatitis B according to the National Health and Medical Research Council Australian Immunisation Handbook and the Queensland Health Infection Control Guidelines.
  • Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs): It is a mandatory condition of employment for roles in which the incumbent may be exposed to the risk of acquisition and/or transmission of a vaccine preventable disease (VPD) that the incumbent be vaccinated against, and remains vaccinated against, certain VPDs. In these cases, your offer of appointment is conditional upon your consent and agreement to maintain vaccination as required by Queensland Health policy.
