Purpose of the Role

To classify inpatient episodes using the current edition of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th Revision, Australian Modification (ICD10AM) for the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital  and Health Service. This trainee position enables the role to progress through supervision and education to an independent Senior Clinical Coder role.
