Raigmore Hospital, Inverness
Lead Procurement Officer x 3 posts
Grade: Band 6 Salary Scale: £30401 - £38046
Full time 37.5hpw, permanent
Procurement within NHS Highland is starting off on a journey of huge transformation, having recently gained support to invest in a significant number of new posts within the procurement team. These three new roles represent a significant part of that investment.
We are looking for motivated and proactive individuals to come and work with us through the transformation of our function. We're looking for ways to be more efficient and effective in everything that we do, so candidates need to be curious and inquisitive, and want to explore ways to make our processes better.
This role will involve working with key procurement stakeholders right across NHS Highland, providing support and guidance to individuals and taking ownership for the delivery of key projects across a range of commodity areas. This will include identifying areas for contract developments, implementing and leading change projects and managing suppliers to ensure we get maximum value from the money we spend.
Finance is a huge part of what is driving us at the moment, so candidates will be working to deliver ambitious savings targets whilst ensuring a continued focus on quality. Being able to focus on the task in hand, prioritising a busy workload and managing competing demands on your time will be a key indicator of success.
Candidates will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to influence and deliver change. A high level of attention to detail will be key as working with data and developing supporting information will drive new areas for savings growth and procurement led initiatives.
If you're interested in being part of something exciting and a bit different, get in touch.
Interviews will be held w/c 9th September 2019 and will be located in Inverness.
