About the role:

You'll apply advanced technical payroll skills and high level knowledge to resolve complex payroll issues and provide mentoring and coaching to staff to achieve team performance standards. The Senior Payroll Officer in PIARCT reports to the Team Leader.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary Human Resource Management issues, as well as the ability to access and interpret Workcover and Income Protection entitlements in accordance with relevant industrial legislation.

  • Demonstrated advanced conceptual, analytical and problem-solving abilities in relation to complex payroll and establishment issues including utilising a risk management approach to the prioritisation and management of complex cases.

  • Proven ability to support and mentor payroll staff and contribute to ongoing individual and team development and effectiveness and the achievement of agreed performance objectives.

  • Demonstrated advanced interpersonal, communication and client services skills with a diverse range of clients.
