An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and resourceful Registered Nurse to work as a Macmillan End of Life Lead nurse within 3 hospital sites.

The Macmillan End of Life (EOL) Lead Nurse will provides an expert clinical role in leading and driving the end of life agenda and quality of EOL care. The post holder will work in collaboration with the wider trust and partner agencies.

The Macmillan End of Life Lead Nurse is a senior nursing role within the Trust demonstrating expert knowledge and practice within the field of end of life. The post holder will provide clinical leadership on all aspects of end of life care across all 3 hospital sites. The post holder will work closely with the Macmillan End of Life Lead Nurse for Community, working autonomously and as part of a team to improve the quality of care received by patients at the end of life.

This busy and demanding role will build upon your clinical experience and interest in End of Life, whilst assisting in moving forward current strategies.

The post holder will have a strong interest in End of life Care, education and developing nursing practice. It is a requirement that the post holder has a sound knowledge base in relation to the End of Life Care. The ability to exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills and to function within a small team of specialist practitioners is essential.
