A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful applicant(s) must be able to work as part of a dynamic nursing team and provides treatment and coordinated care to patients in a range of clinical settings. Your primary areas of work will include Hospital in the Clinic (HICL) and specialised outpatients clinics in the General Ambulatory Care Department.
7 day roster, intermittent weekends with morning shifts only. No night shifts or evening shifts.

The registered nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred, evidence based nursing care that embraces a quality improvement approach. General Ambulatory Care nursing aims to promote positive health outcomes, focused on promoting independence. Care will be planned giving consideration to ethnicity, culture, gender, spiritual values, sexuality, age, disability and economic and social factors in consultation with the patient and family.
The nurse will work across a 7-day roster in a motivated multidisciplinary team environment, show leadership and embrace change. We will provide extensive training and ongoing support through access to the Clinical Nurse Educator, Clinical Nurse Consultant – Wound Care and we have many Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (Wounds, COPD, Diabetes, Cardiac and Clinical Coordinators). The nurse will also assist in the provision of supervision and support for less experienced clinicians or students, whilst maintaining their own professional development and contributing to quality improvement projects.
