About the role
As the Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will provide a comprehensive and flexible high level mental health service to children, adolescents and their family/carers including an advanced level of assessment, intervention, treatment planning and evaluation, training, education and research in accordance with professional, ethical, and National Mental Health standards, utilising significant clinical experience in the field of child and youth mental health.
Permanent Part-time position available 38 hours per fortnight.
The successful candidate will be someone who demonstrates high level clinical knowledge of childhood trauma, attachment theory, child development, collaborative practice and systemic theory, in order to provide specialised education programs and specialist mental health consultation to key stakeholders including professionals within internal and external government, non-government and private agencies, carer providers and families involved with children and young people in the care of the Child Safety Services.
About Evolve Therapeutic Service
The Evolve Therapeutic Service is part of Evolve Interagency Services (Evolve), which is a state-wide service, cross government initiative. Ut provides mental health support, behavioural support and participation in education for children and young people in the care of Child Safety Services. The service is provided through coordinated sustainable partnerships between the Child Safety Services, Queensland Health, Disability Services and the Department of Education and Training.
Evolve is a multi-disciplinary, multi specialist team providing specialist level clinical advice, consultancy and leadership to internal and external clients of Queensland Health including but not limited to Department of Communities, Child Safety, Department of Education and Disability Services management and staff.
The service aims to establish effective partnerships and joint planning at all levels of the mental health, child protection, education and disability sectors. The service contributes to the evidence base in the specialist mental health and child protection field, through research, conference presentations and publications.
Salary ranging from $53.88 - $57.97 per hour, 17.5% annual leave loading, 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation.
