About the Role

The Triage and Assessment registered nurse will work collaboratively with ED, PECC, Access and inpatient staff across all settings triaging consumers ensuring they are assessed and treated in the most suited environment to meet their individualised needs.

To apply, you need to be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold an appropriate work visa.

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

  1. Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA including completion of a new graduate RN program or 12 months experience working as a Registered Nurse
  2. Demonstrated experience working with people presenting with an acute mental health problem
  3. Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills with proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team within minimal direct clinical supervision
  4. Proven effective high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to exercise independent professional judgement when solving problems
  5. Working knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007
  6. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with consumers and carers regarding mental healthcare
  7. An understanding of the recovery philosophy and trauma informed care in Mental Health and the ability to implement these within clinical practice
  8. Current drivers licence, including P1 or above, and willingness to use same for work purposes
