Potential development role opportunity for candidates who do not meet all the essential criteria
We are looking for a motivated and resourceful Dietitian with excellent communication and team working skills to work as an integral member of community multiprofessional teams. You will take a lead role in providing specialist nutritional assessment and ongoing support to patients requiring home enteral feeding and nutritional support within care homes, outpatient clinics and on domiciliary visits. Your caseload will include stroke, elderly and rehabilitation medicine (this includes Parkinsons disease and other progressive conditions, head injury and cerebral palsy).
There is also the opportunity to work one day per week based at Goole, providing support to the multidisciplinary 14-bedded Neurorehabilitation Unit, where there is often a high caseload of enterally-fed patients.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our committed and enthusiastic team of Dietitians who work across North and North-East Lincolnshire, supported by Dietetic Assistants and administrative staff. You will be based at Monarch House in Scunthorpe, but will have the opportunity to work across North and North East Lincolnshire.
You will provide clinical leadership to junior dietetic colleagues and also be highly involved in service development. Our Nutrition and Dietetic Service supports regular supervision and continuing professional development, and provides training to A, B and C placement students.
Applicants must hold up-to-date HCPC registration. Car driver essential for this post.
Please note applicants who do not fully meet the person specification may be considered for a development post and receive support and training to progress into the band 6 role.
