An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join the Ward 25 team at York Hospital.
Ward 25 is a specialist Fracture Neck of femur ward, which prides itself in providing holistic, high quality care for frail and vulnerable patients who have undergone trauma.
The staff on Ward 25 are hard working, friendly and committed to providing high standards of care for all patients and relatives who visit Ward 25.
Orthopaedic and elderly medicine teams work together with the wider multi-disciplinary team, to optimise the care of this group of patients both pre and post operatively, in line with the National Hip Fracture Database.
Ward 25 is continually developing and reviewing its policies and procedures, ensuring changing national guidelines are always maintained, whilst supporting positive patient journey and experience.
The successful post holder will be responsible for supporting the ward sister, to ensure the smooth running of the ward twenty four hours of the day. This will involve supporting staff to provide a high standards of patient care, promoting patient safety and a positive patient experience.
There will be opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, and join our team of senior staff who will be soon providing specialist nerve blocks.
