The Highland Rheumatology Unit is a 10 bedded in-patient Unit for the multi professional assessment, treatment, monitoring and on-going support of patients suffering from Rheumatic disease. Applications are invited from self motivated individuals with good interpersonal and communication skills who will enjoy working as part of a small team in a challenging and rewarding specialist environment.
Candidates will require level 1 registration with the NMC and have an interest in Rehabilitation of Patients with Rheumatology and musculoskeletal diseases. We are looking for someone who wants the challenge of delivering high quality holistic care, in a busy specialist unit. Ideally you will have some experience looking after patients with wide range of Rheumatic Disorders, however we offer training for those with limited or no experience. Working on a busy Rheumatology Ward you will gain wider exposure to the speciality whilst gaining competency in the administration of biologic drugs and symptom management.
You will be required to work a rotation of day shift / night shift and weekends. You will also be required to help maintain and monitor high standards of cleanliness in relation to the ward and its equipment.
