Sutherland Community Midwifery Team is looking for a midwife who is keen to work as part of a small local team in remote and rural practice. This post offers an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced midwife who is keen to practice midwife-led care and to develop skills as an autonomous practitioner. The midwifery team provides a service across the community setting and are based in the Lawson Memorial Hospital, Golspie. The team provide antenatal and postnatal care and planned home birth to a caseload of up to one hundred women per year spread over a wide geographical area. The post requires some on call for home birth as per demand.
Interested applicants should ideally be educated to degree level. A current driving licence is essential and you will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations to meet the operational requirements of the service. This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week with commitment to on call working.
