We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic and dedicated team.
Your new role...
The Registered Nurse position will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of person centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
In addition to the accountabilities in the attached Position Description this position provides skilled nursing support in the Department of Clinical Immunology RPAH for:
Patients having ambulatory investigations or management in the Department’s clinics and ambulatory care areas and consulting rooms.
Diagnostic testing of allergic disease or, suspected allergic disease.
Clinical trials or audits conducted by the Department of Clinical Immunology.
Co-ordinating clinical aspects of immunology patients in hospital, outpatient clinics, and at home in co-operation with other health professionals.
Attending clinics to assist with skin testing, dietary challenges, desensitisation programs, drug skin testing, challenges and venepuncture.
Assisting in the collection of specimens and entering of data to relevant clinical trials.
Venepuncture of patients and staff for routine and in-house research projects.
Attending rural clinic’s run by the Department when required.
Providing nursing support to other outpatient clinics which are run in the area. Eg. Infectious Diseases.
Attending meetings of the department and related health care units concerning patient care, where possible.
Participation in the Department’s Clinical Ongoing Education program.
