  •  Registered Nurse - Child and Family Health Nurse 
  • Permanent part time 32 or up to 32 hours per week on a 24hr Monday to Friday rotating roster
  • Operational base:  Residential Units, Carramar and Camden

We are seeking a qualified or currently working towards Registered Nurse - Child and Family Health Nurse (CFHN) to join the team here at the residential unit(s) here at Karitane.
Whilst the role is part-time for 32 hours per week, on a 24 hour rotating roster, job share of up to 32 hours will be considered.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: (Criteria must be addressed)

 

1. Current National Nursing Registration with APHRA
2. Child and Family Health Nurse Qualification or currently working towards. We also accept applicants who are experienced direct entry midwives working towards or with child and family health qualifications (completed within 18 months of employment).
3. Understanding of child and family health and related mental health issues 
4. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
5. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
6. Demonstrated awareness of multicultural issues
7. Computer skills
8. Current driver’s license


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT


Various employment status on a 24 hour rotating roster in accordance with the Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Nurse’s Agreement 2017.  Shift times and days may be varied according to the needs of the organisation and are on a 24 hour rotating roster.  Karitane services are provided at a number of sites within the Sydney Metropolitan Area.

The majority of Karitane’s services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave. 

Karitane supports a smoke free environment including grounds, buildings and vehicles.

Relevant Police Check, Working with Children Check, Apprehended Violence Orders and prior employment checks, including relevant disciplinary proceedings, will be conducted on recommended applicants
