Programmed Care is the community and in home direct care division of Programmed Health Professionals (PHP). A Registered Nurse (RN) aims to improve health outcomes and assist clients to remain living at home, by providing safe, responsive and cost efficient nursing care.

A Registered Nurse is responsible for the initial establishment of the community nursing care plan following their comprehensive standardised assessment.

A Registered Nurse role also includes provision of direct client care, highlighting the need for referral to multidisciplinary or specialty services, and providing assistance with training to Enrolled Nurses, Care workers, Clients and their Carers.

The Role:

Our Community Registered Nurses provide and facilitate safe, responsive nursing care for our veteran community. You will assess and implement clinical care planes, with the majority of work being weekdays commencing at 7am, and occasional short weekend hours shared amongst the team.

This is a great way to experience work life balance in a friendly team environment. You will be employed on a casual hourly rate and hours include driving between home visits. Your will also be paid a kilometer rate for the use of your vehicle.

Registered Nurse duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • In-home clinical assessments
  • Medication Management
  • Wound care including VAC therapy and compression bandaging
  • IV medications
  • Continence management including IDC replacement and stomal therapy support
  • All positions report to our Clinical Nurse on a daily basis

Additional training and competencies are provided including manual handling, infection control, medication management and safety procedures.

Essential for the position:

  • 3 years community nursing experience
  • Current AHPRA registration as a RN Div 1
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Your own vehicle (we will reimburse kms)
  • Current drivers licence, car registration and insurance
  • Current policy clearance certificate/bluecare
  • Access to personal computer/email/printer
