About this opportunity:

Programmed Health Professionals have an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for something a little different in the aged care sector.

Our client is seeking Senior Quality Assessors for a 12 month casual placement, 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday, working in an accreditation/quality role.

Successful candidates will be given a week's pre-course training session followed by a further one to four week self-paced, intense training program that is internationally accredited, leading to registration as a Quality Assessor.

This position will start in mid-February, so applicants must be available to start by 17th Feb.

What you will be doing:

The role involves assessing and reviewing aged care services against the standards and legislation, and reporting in depth on their performance and criteria.

The role is based out of their head office in Bowen Hills however the position requires staff to travel frequently across Brisbane and rural areas, visiting sites for audits. Audits can be onsite for 1 day up to 3 days, sometimes longer. Travel and overnight stays are highly likely in 2 out of 4 weeks, possibly more. Travel & food allowances are provided, and you will also be provided with a laptop and mobile phone.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • STRONG inter-personal skills
  • EXCELLENT written and verbal communication skills
  • HIGH Ability to understand and apply knowledge of relevant standards and legislation
  • Experience in management is preferable
  • A current QLD driver's license
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • National Criminal Record Check
  • Must hold an Australian citizenship
  • Registration as a quality surveyor (this course will be provided to successful applicants)
  • Experience prefereable in regulatory, quality, audit or compliance roles
  • Clinical and/or Government experience is highly favourable
