Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust is actively recruiting motivated and dynamic individuals to join our friendly team of therapists.

We have recently updated our band 6 role to allow staff to gain a wide range of experience within the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Each rotation will be 8 months in duration and staff will work across a variety of settings and locations;

  • MSK and hand therapy
  • MSK and upper limb classes
  • MSK and lower limb classes
  • MSK and Newbury Park Health Centre (patients with GP referrals)
  • MSK and Queen’s Hospital (patients referred by hospital consultants including trauma and orthopaedics, rheumatology and neurology)
  • MSK at King George Hospital

The successful candidate will actively participate in our structured senior in-service training and professional review sessions to develop within a highly experienced team. The physiotherapy department is based in King George Hospital, Queens Hospital and two Redbridge GP clinics to provide a service for a diverse community of patients from the Barking, Havering and Redbridge Boroughs.

You will need core orthopaedic, manual therapy and exercise therapy skills and an ability to adopt a bio- psychosocial approach to patient management. Experience of working in a musculoskeletal outpatient clinic setting that provides physiotherapy for GP and orthopaedic services is essential. Some experience of working with hand therapy patients is desirable but not essential.

Essential criteria

  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Broad clinical experience as a Band 5
  • HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of relevant CPD

Please note that there will be a practical element to the interview and so unfortunately, no Skype interviews can be conducted.

All new staff appointed to posts at the Trust will be subject to a 6 months probationary period. This will give new staff members an opportunity to become familiar with the culture and working environment of the Trust.
