SPECIALIST DIETITIAN – NUTRITION SUPPORT (Stroke & Respiratory)
This is an exciting opportunity to join our committed and enthusiastic team of Dietitians, who work across North and North-East Lincolnshire, supported by Dietetic Assistants/Assistant Practitioners and Administrative staff. You will be based at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby, but may have the opportunity to work across site to Scunthorpe/North Lincolnshire. We are seeking an experienced Dietitian who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care. This post is based mainly in community and out-patient settings, but with some potential to in-reach to acute wards to facilitate care across the whole patient pathway.
We are looking for a motivated and resourceful Dietitian with excellent communication and team working skills, to work as an integral member of multiprofessional teams with a specific focus on both Stroke and Respiratory care. You will be responsible for providing specialist nutritional assessment and ongoing support to patients with Stroke, including as appropriate involvement in secondary prevention. You may also provide input to the Respiratory ward as well as to patients in specialist out-patient clinics and to those attending for pulmonary rehabilitation.
Applicants who do not fully meet the person specification will be considered for a development post and receive support and training to progress into the band 6 role.
You will provide clinical leadership to junior dietetic colleagues, support the work of dietetic assistant practitioners and dietetc assistants and also be highly involved in service development. The Nutrition and Dietetic Department supports regular supervision and continuing professional development, and provides training to B and C placement students.

Grimsby and Scunthorpe are vibrant towns surrounded by pretty villages and the beautiful North/North East Lincolnshire countryside.
