Applications are invited for an Advanced Nurse/Care Practitioner to join the Out of Hours Team based at Raigmore Hospital. The core team consists of ANPs and GPs who share the workload equally alongside locum GPs. We work in tandem with Primary and Secondary care services liaising closely with GPs, DNs, Paramedics, Community Hospitals, Hospice and Raigmore acute in-patient departments. The core OOHs team strives to provide support to each other whilst in and out of work hours. The post is challenging but ultimately professionally exceptionally satisfying.
As an Advanced Nurse/Care Practitioner, you will be expected to provide expert clinical case management to children and young people, adults, carers, families and communities within a defined population in the most appropriate environment, whether in the community, on the telephone or in the Out of Hours Department.
Applicants must be in possession of an Advanced Clinical Examination course and Non Medical Prescribing course with Completion of Common Presentation Module at Masters' level within a mutually agreed timescale. Possession of a Masters qualification or a willingness to work towards is desirable however, the ability to demonstrate Masters level thinking is essential. Evidence of excellent communication skills and interdisciplinary working is required.
There may also be an opportunity for ANP's with the required skill set to work across OOH's inpatient wards and the Hospital at Night Team if desired.
