Mackay Hospital and Health Service has eight hospitals, two multi-purpose health services and two additional community health services that employ more than 2,700 staff. Your role:

The Mental Health Clinician provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Hinterland Mental Health Service.

Your team:

The Mental Health and AOD Service is comprised of eight clinical teams across the Mackay HHS. The Mental Health Service is responsible for the provision of comprehensive, specialised mental health assessment and treatment services across the age-spectrum for people with severe and complex mental health problems. Our services aim to be consumer focused and recovery oriented and are provided in a variety of settings including community, an acute inpatient unit, hospitals and emergency departments. This position is part of the Hinterland Mental Health Service and will travel to the Outreach Sites of Clermont, Dysart, Middlemount and Glenden to provide mental health care. The main office base is in Moranbah.

Conditions of employment:
